There’s something about the promise of a New Year. Most of us have a few resolutions in mind, a list of new habits that will enrich our lives. It’s another chance at being better.
As 2019 quickly draws to a close, you have an opportunity to give that New Year’s gift to a neighbor, right here in Flagstaff.
For $6 a night, we can provide shelter for someone in crisis. But for a bit more, we can move a family out of homelessness for good.
That’s because we work with individuals and families to secure permanent housing and break the cycle of homelessness.
Roughly 85 percent of the people we move into permanent housing do not return to homelessness.
Flagstaff Shelter Services permanently re-houses 2 households every week. In addition to a new home, we work with our community partners to give people the best chance to achieve long-term stability.
